Darren is an expert in supporter/customer-focused growth and service excellence inside and outside the world of sport.
As part of the Fan Experience Company, he has spent several years helping associations, leagues and clubs to improve the way they engage with fans; both with the match day experience and linked to attendance growth, combining a practical and pragmatic approach with extensive knowledge and best practice.
He is a UEFA mentor, a writer and has an MBA as well as a successful background in customer service consultancy (including many years working with leading service organisations in the UK and Europe).
Having operated at the coalface of today’s business and organisational demands within the football industry, Nicole has extensive experience working with players, agencies, rights holders, clubs, sponsors and educational institutions through her consultancy NA Sport.
Starting out as a player, then a coach, she moved into the business side of the game and completed her MSc in Football Business. After seven years of working in men’s football, Nicole moved into women’s football and is a passionate developer of the women’s game. She has worked as General Manager at a FAWSL club and also is one of the experienced assessors for The Fan Experience Company.
Gill has a strong background in operations and customer service/experience working with the EFL and many of its clubs for several years. As founder of lifeadmin, she has developed expertise in project and time management as well as several areas of business operations that save her clients time and money.
An experienced match day assessor, Gill has attended numerous women’s sporting events (including the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France) and documented the fan experience, for use by the governing bodies to implement improvement, and for her own social media channel.
For nearly 20 years, Chris has been supporting clubs and organisations on both sides of the Atlantic – from grassroots through to the elite level – in a variety of ways.
He has delivered solutions for marketing, branding, communication, strategic planning, social media engagement, and sponsorship activation. Chris has produced and edited programmes for major sporting finals and international matches in football, rugby union and rugby league.
He also offers a strong network and unique insight into the North American soccer scene – most recently co-founding South Bend Lions Football Club in 2019.
Mark set up The Fan Experience Company in 2005, and they are now a leading provider of match day experience and fan engagement solutions , working across Europe as UEFA Mentors, as well as programmes in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Scotland, Estonia, Moldova and The Netherlands.
The award-winning EFL Family Excellence Programme was established in 2006 and is one of the most recognisable fan-focussed standards in sport.
Mark’s background is modern languages and customer service. A Spanish and Catalan speaker and a contributor to FC Business Magazine, he created the online Fan Engagement Certificate for FC Barcelona’s Innovation Hub. .
He is also a Sunderland fan.
